Release Trailer - “Clash of The Titans”

Whoever said, “Lightening never strikes twice” probably didn’t attend this years Golden Trailer Award ceremony ;). Eyestorm was incredibly flattered to receive the win for “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” last year and then follow it up this year with a top nomination in the same category for “Best Video Game Trailer”. And if you thought the Kraken’s roar was loud in this trailer, you should have heard him at the ceremony after a few drinks!

Release Trailer - “Gold’s Gym Dance Workout”

When Ubisoft called us up asking if we knew of the “Body Building Mecca” (A.K.A “Gold’s Gym”) in Venice Beach, not only did we reply an affirmative yes, but we also whipped out our membership cards and flexed our guns. Needless to say, we got the job ;). Lucky for us, all our training paid off as we pulled out some pretty quick maneuvers jibbing through a live dance class all while keeping an eye on the lens and a stealth appearance to the mirrors.

Eyestorm Sweeps Golden Trailer Awards!!

  • “Best Video Game TV Spot” - GTA Awards

Eyestorm was awarded the two top honors for video game marketing at the 10th Annual Golden Trailer Awards for both Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Best Video Game Trailer) and Tom Clancy’s EndWar (Best Video Game TV Spot). Eyestorm beat out the three time long running champs in every gaming category.

The Golden Trailers recognize excellence and entertainment value in advertising for the entertainment industry. Eyestorm was honored to join their ranks at the wonderful ceremony held on June 4th at the DGA Theater. We’ll be looking forward to competing again next year.

Eyestorm Win’s - “Best Viral Video 2009″

  • Hit Counts Breaking the 6 Figures
  • Received Free Media Buys! (Due to High User Requests)

Eyestorm Productions took home the top prize for the “Most Effective Viral Marketing” video of 2009 for, “Tom Clancy’s EndWar Parrot Video.” The ceremony was held at the San Francisco Grand Hyatt with over 300 top industry execs in attendance. Former Daily Show correspondent, Rob Corddry, hosted the event, keeping his wallet stuffed and our faces wrinkled.

Creating marketing for the first ever voice-activated video game was a truly special project to work on. To convey the game’s usability, we turned to a pair of parrots to do the job for us :). The sound was 100% faked (pssst…it’s actually a human’s voice you’re hearing for the parrots), and the parrots were 100% prima donnas on set (nothing a few crackers couldn’t resolve though).

The results were phenomenal. Users never doubted the authenticity of the video and gaming sites were flooded with viewers requesting the video to be posted, which made Ubisoft’s piggy bank very happy, as this high-profile placement came at the whopping price tag of $0.00. (Also known as: free). That’s right, an advertisement that viewers actually begged to see. The overall awareness for EndWar spiked as hit counts broke into 6 figures.

Thanks go out to Polly and Walter, our two star birdies. You guys are definitely on your way to parrot stardom!

Teaser Trailer - “TMNT: Smash-Up”

  • Follow Up to The “4th Best-Selling Wii Game Ever”

The follow up to the 4th best-selling Wii game ever, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash Up” is expected to release in the fall of 2009. Ubisoft contacted eyestorm to help with the initial launch of this new product and create one heck-of-a smash up announcement trailer.

Release Trailer - TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled

The game we would line our quarters up on the arcade console to play after just eating a greasy slice of pizza is finally back! Only this time there’s no need for the lines, the quarters, or wiping off other people’s joystick pizza grease. In August, our release trailer honored those glorious shell-kicking-turtle-action moments and with the games release in September, it immediately shot up to the top of the charts making it the #1 most downloaded game on the Playstation 3 Network.

“Spore Galactic Adventures”, Will Wright’s follow up to the extremely successful “Sims” online game, sold over 1,000,000 copies since it’s release. With the game already being out for some time, there was a pretty clear message for what this trailer had to do: convince gamers that this was the must have update providing them with endless adventures and open ended gameplay. It’s one of the first games ever to literally allow gamers to create their own game, upload it to the net, and have others play it and modify it.
